FAQ - TEFL Course
1. Where are the TEFL Courses held?
TEFL Courses of American TESOL Institute takes place in Kolkata, Kochi,
Ahmedabad, Shanghai, Marrakesh, Genoa, Nice, Montpellier and Antalya.
2. How long is the course?
It’s a 3 week or 4 week course of 120 hours.
3. Who is eligible to take the course?
It is open for natives or near natives with good English skills.
4. Are the options different for Indians
and overseas students?
The options are the same and there is no difference.
5. What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course and accommodation will vary with the locations. In India,
Thailand and China, the cost of the course is 950 to 1500 USD. In Morocco,
Italy, France and Turkey the cost of the course is 1290 Euro.
6. After completing the TEFL course what
are the options available?
There is no limit to the opportunities after the completion of the TESOL course.
The ESL teachers can get placement in the European countries, in Thailand,
Middle East and India.
7. What are the options open for Indian
candidates?
Indian students who have successfully completed the TEFL Course can go for the
one month volunteer internship in Thailand. This internship will give them real
time teaching experience in a non native English country and an insight to the
TESOL methods, classroom skills and teaching in an International scenario. The
cost of accommodation will be covered by the American TESOL Institute and the
students will have to pay for the air flight tickets and costs of visas.
8. What do we learn at the TEFL Course?
During the in class TESOL Certificate course of 120 hours the trainees will be
taught all the details of Teaching English to Students of other Language. During
the course, the trainees will have to do teaching practice in different schools
which will give them first hand classroom teaching experience.
9. Does American TESOL maintain a job
placement system?
We will give 100% job assistance to the teachers. American TESOL works with
numerous placement agents around the world. We mostly place our teachers in
Asian countries, Middle East and Europe.
10. Do you provide accommodation?
Yes, we provide accommodation. The candidates have to pay separately for the
accommodation.
