TEFL Trainees / ESL Teachers in China can enjoy Chinese Festivals

Indonesia is the country in the world which has successfully maintained its cultural authenticity for so many years. The tourists coming to this country are mesmerized by the cultural varieties and enjoy themselves while attending the various festivals of Indonesia.

The Indonesian festivals take place nearly throughout the year right from the month of January to the end of December. A large number of both religious and non religious festivals are celebrated in the country which is attended not only by the inhabitants of Indonesia but also by tourists who come specifically for their festivals.

The year starts with the celebration of the New Year which is on the first of January or the Lomban festival which is celebrated by the fishermen. The fisherman hank the sea for the fishes they have caught that year acknowledging the sea for what it has given. In March, the Kasada festival is celebrated which is a festival for paying tribute to one’s ancestors by offering flowers, fruits and chicken. In April the Indonesians celebrate the Isaka New Year. The Bali Arts Festival is one of the major festivals of Indonesia. Cultural shows and grand processions take place during this time which extends for almost a month. The true picture of Indonesia is portrayed during that time. The Independence Day is celebrated in August. Besides these, there are a number of other festivals that are celebrated during this time. All year long the people are in a merry mood as they can celebrate the joys of life in various ways and for various times throughout the year.
