The festivals of Mexico reflect its exuberant and exotic culture and these festivals due its uniqueness have also turned into a major attraction. One of the major festivals of Mexico is the Day of the Dead. It is celebrated in early November each year all across the country. Families visit graveyards with hampers on this day to pay homage to their dead. It is more of a festive affair rather than a somber affair. Carnival in Mexico is another festive affair and three days before Ash Wednesday there is party, entertainment and music on the streets. Another very unique festival of Mexico is the Night of the Radishes celebrated on December 23rd. There are unbelievable sculptures made out of radish and radish flowers. Another big feast day in Mexico is the ‘Festival de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe’, which is celebrated on 12th December. The Virgin of Guadalupe is a cultural icon of Mexico and it is celebrated all over the country of Mexico.
