Poland is a gorgeous country located between Eastern and Western Europe. The rich history and culture of this country is complemented by its exquisite landscape and warm people. Some of the most popular destinations in Poland are mentioned below.

Krakow
Krakow is the most well known tourist destination in Poland. Enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage list, Krakow attracts millions of tourist each year. It is one of the most beautiful medieval towns of Europe, which are extremely well preserved. The Wawel castle and cathedral, Czartoryski Museum or Krakow’s Main square all the tourist destinations in Krakow. In close proximity to Krakow are two world famous sites, the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration camp bearing testimony to the dark days of Second World War and the Wieliczka Salt Mines.

Torun
Torun is another gorgeous medieval town in Poland, which like Krakow has also made its place in the UNESCO World Heritage list. It was once the biggest trade center of Europe and its historic growth is reflected on the town’s architecture.

Warsaw
Warsaw depicts the history, which Poland witnessed in the 20th century. It had been most affected during the Nazi rule and after Hitler’s demise the Old Town of Warsaw was completely rebuilt. The Lazienki Palace and the Wilanow Palace are two delightful architectural marvels in Poland. Warsaw still has very much preserved the evidences of the dark days of the Second World War not to cherish it but to not forget the atrocities.

Sopot
Sopot, the hangout of the rich and famous is very rightly referred to as the Vegas of Europe. The swank streets of the town are fringed with casinos and hotels on either side. It is a fun city well known for its festivals gambling and great food and the gorgeous restaurants.

Zakopane
Zakopane is a nature lovers’ paradise and a hangout of the loves of winter sports. It is a perfect place for people who love to hike the Tatry Mountain, to ski or snowboard. The scenic beauty of the place is what draws numerous tourists each year.

Czestochowa
It is one of the religious destinations of Poland, famous for the Black Madonna. In the month of August each year, numerous devotees flock here to pay respect to Black Madonna who is said to have phenomenal powers.
