There are public, private and international schools in South Africa. The central
governments control the policies of the schools. Though, public schools are more
under government control than the public schools and the universities. The
schools have to follow certain rules and regulations. ESL teachers in Africa are
hired in both private and public schools. General Education is for 13 years then
the students move on to further and higher education respectively. There are
