A three week Onsite TESOL Program Curriculum Bangkok

American TESOL Institute organizes a three-week full time and 120 hour TEFL course in Bangkok for few times in a year. The course curriculum is given below:

  • Foreign language experience is a significant part of the course as local language learning helps teachers in understanding the problems faced by the students.
  • The methods of teaching listening, reading speaking and writing, to the ESL students of all levels.
  • Contextualization of grammar.
  • Lessons on understanding the nuisances of phonology.
  • Using games, projects, theaters, songs and chants as a teaching strategy.
  • Preparing interactive materials for ESL students.
  • Teaching skills of classroom management.
  • All three types of modules, basic, young learners and receptive skills are taught during the course.
  • Knowledge on how to correct errors.
  • Preparing lesson plans.
  • There are 2 peer observations in a real classroom situation and 5 teaching practice sessions with real ESL students.
