The official currency of the USA is the United States dollar. The symbol ‘$’
stands for the dollar and the code is USD. It can be divided into 100 cents.
Most of the international transactions are done through the USD and it is the
official currency of many other countries. US dollar is plays a major role being
the important reserve currency in the international market with Euro. Notes and
coins both are used in USA. The denominations of notes are $1, $2, $5, $10, $20,
$50, $100.
The federal government and the state government control the banking system in
the United States. The office of the Comptroller of the currency regulates the
